Heather Thomson took to her Bravo TV blog today to discuss the most recent episode of the Real Housewives of New York City. Heather begins her blog by discussing what girl code really means to her. She claims that girl code is never putting your friends in harms way and as we all know by now mama bear Heather Thomson felt like she was going to be killed by the naked man in the room adjacent to her.
Let’s talk about “girl code” for a minute. To me, a big part of “girl code” is never putting your friends in harm’s way. So the Countess feels violated because Carole and I came into her room after knocking? How about waking up to a random naked man? We felt totally violated and for very good reason.
Heather next claims that neither the Countess or Ramona Singer had wanted the man to sleep in their rooms so obviously they just sat him somewhere else to pass out…naked. Heather also discusses why she was so upset about Ramona selfish action claiming that they slept in a vulnerable state with no security therefore of course they could have been killed and eaten by this strange naked man…. maybe I made that last part up.
Neither Luann nor Ramona wanted this man in their room, so apparently it was cool to leave him with me and Carole? Had one of them been with this guy, it would have been a much different situation. But instead, we woke up to a complete stranger that no one knew, sleeping across from us, while we slept, in a vulnerable state–with no security, barely dressed, and all of our valuables out for the taking? It is the epitome of uncool.
In conclusion, Heather explains that she’s not judging the other woman (although she really is) and if they want to vacation with naked men they can, however she does not appreciate naked men being left in her bedroom. She reveals that she would never put a friend of hers in the same dangerous situation and that she appreciates the fact that Ramona apologized to her and realizes that she was wrong.
I’m not judging the way any of the women want to live their lives,on vacation or otherwise. I just don’t appreciate the remnants left unattended in my room. I would never willingly put any of my friends in an unsafe situation, and that’s exactly what Ramona did here, and she knew it. I appreciate that Ramona did eventually own up to her behavior and apologize, and luckily nothing happened. But first she tossed the responsibility to The Countess who totally fouled–making herself the spectacle. She also unearthed, herself, much of what I think she now wished had remained private.
