WHITNEY Houston’s mother Cissy Houston has revealed Bobbi Kristina Brown’s condition has not improved since she was lifted from a medically induced coma.
“She’s the same, she’s not progressing at all,” the 81-year-old singer told Entertainment Tonight about her granddaughter.
“She’s not gone yet, but you know, whatever the Lord decides, I’m ready for her … I have nothing to do with that. That’s His job. It’s His territory, you know? And I understand it.”
Bobbi Kristina, the only child of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, was discovered unresponsive in the bathtub of her Georgia home on January 31.
While the 22-year-old is no longer in a medically induced coma, family members fear the young star will never fully recover.
It was announced earlier this week that Whitney Houston’s sister-in-law, Pat Houston, and Bobby Brown had been legally appointed as Bobbi Kristina’s co-guardians.
Sources told Entertainment Tonight the decision was a blow to Bobbi Kristina’s father, as he must now consult Pat Houston about his daughter’s medical care.
However Cissy Houston said news of the co-guardianship was well-received by family members.
“It came all right. It was fine,” she said.
“We’re a family … that works together for the best. You want the best for whomever or everybody we can … We can be on the other side too if you make us be but we are not going to do that. There’s no reason for that. That’s why I’m concerned. So, that’s the end of that.”
Pat and Cissy Houston continue to control Whitney Houston’s estate which Bobbi Kristina inherited.
